A safari in Africa offers exceptional wildlife viewing, amazing scenery, expert guiding and sublime accommodation, in fact there is an embarrassment of riches when it comes to where to enjoy your safari. An African safari is often one of the most memorable of holidays with just the mention of an animal seen or country visited conjuring up memories for years to come. With some excellent special offers available across the prime wildlife viewing countries we have summarised four of the best of these for you.

Chiawa Safaris, Zambia
With an enviable reputation for both quality of guiding and accommodation, Chiawa Safaris have four camps in two of Zambia’s premier national parks. You can expect amazing wildlife viewing, stunning scenery and beautiful accommodation to come back to after time see the wildlife with your expert guides.
The offer – Save 30% on stays of 9 or more nights
A number of offers are applicable in different seasons and for shorter stays, but the ultimate offer, which is available throughout the year, offers three free nights when staying for nine nights or more – a significant saving. You would need to spend a minimum of three nights in three of the four camps, park and conservation fees are payable on all nights.

Camps
Old Mondoro and Chiawa Camp in the Lower Zambezi are distinctly different in style to each other and combining the two complements the other. Old Mondoro takes rustic luxury to a new level with everything you could want in the rooms but retaining the feeling of being truly in the wild. Chiawa Camp offers timeless elegance in beautifully furbished tents on the banks of the Zambezi River.
Puku Ridge and Chichele Presidential Lodge in the South Luangwa National Park are also distinctly different to each other. Puku Ridge offers wonderful views across the floodplains where wildlife is often to be seen. With the private plunge pools on every deck and star bed with every room, this is bush luxury re-defined. The historic Chichele Presidential Lodge, re-opening in April 2025 after being completely re-built and redesigned, occupies one of the prime positions in the South Luangwa. Its hilltop location affords incredible 360 degree views of the surrounding park. With each room offering a private plunge pool, WiFi and air-conditioning, this is taking safari luxury in Zambia to new heights.

Nomad Tanzania
Nomad Tanzania operate camps across Tanzania’s prime wildlife areas, from the well-known national parks such as the Serengeti and Ngorongoro, to the lesser known – but equally rewarding, Katavi and Mahale National Parks in the west of the country. They are known, not only for the quality of their guiding and camps, but also for their empowerment of the communities they work in and around, offering a richer experience for guests.
The offer – children up to the age of 21 and 5 plus nights long stay rates.
Nomad Tanzania have always been a very family-friendly company and offer a 30% discount for all children under the age of 21. This recognises that older children are still usually travelling with their parents on a holiday such as this. In addition to this offer, for stays of five or more nights, additional savings are built into the rates – between 10% and 25% discount (camp and season dependant).
The camps
Lamai and Serengeti Safari Camp may both be in the Serengeti but they offer very different experiences. Those who love a little more structure around them and waking up to incredible views from an elevated position will love Lamai Serengeti. However, if you enjoy sleeping under canvas listening to Africa and with less infrastructure in the camp, Serengeti Safari Camp may be for you – and they work perfectly in combination with each other December – March when they are in different parts of the Serengeti. Serengeti Safari Camp is a mobile camp designed to follow the migration and moves throughout the year to maximise viewing of the herds.
Entamanu and Kuro are both in prime positions in Northern Tanzania with Entamuanu offering the chance to explore the Ngorongoro Crater whilst staying off the beaten track in Masai land. Perched on the rim of the crater, the views into it and across the Serengeti Plains behind. Quite a position. Kuro is easily combined and set deep within Tarangire National Park.

Greystoke and Chada are located in Western Tanzania. The national parks of Katavia and Mahale are far from anywhere and more difficult to access. With very few other camps in the national parks it feels like you have them to yourself. Katavi is vast and filled with all the key wildlife species you would hope to see. Remote and wild, the park is an ideal place to explore off the beaten track and combines beautifully with Greystoke, which is located on the shores of Lake Tanganika. Located in the Mahale Mountains the main focus here is tracking the habituated chimps that make this their home.
In Southern Tanzania Nomad have camps in both Nyerere National Park (formerly Selous) and Ruaha National Park. Sand Rivers enjoys wonderful views over the Rufiji River in Nyerere and offers infrastructure and a sense of adventure with the fly-camping that is possible here. For families and groups the exclusive use Kiba Point is the perfect place to stay. Kigelia is set in the heart of the vast Ruaha National Park. This tented camp is the ideal base to explore the park by vehicle or on foot.

Tena Tena and Nsefu are two distinctly different camps located in the quiet Nsefu sector of the national park. They can easily be combined in a trip, perhaps taking a walking safari between the two, or are excellent stand-alone options as well. Nsefu retains the original Rondavels of the camp, with modern facilities such as en-suite bathrooms, elevating the experience. Tena Tena is a seasonal tented camp with wonderfully comfortable rooms and open air bathrooms with views over the river.
Mobile Walking Safari and Luangwa Bush Camping are the ideal choice for those wishing to experience more of the national park on foot. Staying in simpler, mobile, camps and moving locations, these two options offer an immersive experience in the South Luangwa.
Mkulumadzi and Kuthengo are located in two of Malawi’s prime wildlife viewing national parks, namely Majete and Liwonde. Easily combined, each offers an ideal place to explore the areas they are in, which offer increasingly excellent wildlife viewing. Malawi has flown under the radar for wildlife viewing for a number of years, and it is increasingly a country which is being considered as a prime wildlife viewing destination. Pumulani is located on the shores of Lake Malawi and is an ideal place for some R&R post safari in Malawi or Zambia.
