A family safari is a wonderful holiday. There are activities a-plenty and something to keep everyone, whatever age, thoroughly entertained. Busy periods tend to book up quickly, but we still have some great space this summer along with a number of exciting special offers. Here are five of the best:
African Bush Camps – Botswana, Zimbabwe and Zambia

The offer
Children 15 and under stay free of charge (conservation fees payable) when staying in family accommodation for a minimum of six nights (can combine camps) and with one full paying adult per child (a maximum of two children free per booking). Robin Pope Safaris – Zambia and Malawi
Renowned for the quality of their guiding and wildlife viewing, Robin Pope Safaris have camps in the South Luangwa National Park in Zambia, Mana Pools in Zimbabwe, and Majete and Liwonde National Parks and on Lake Malawi in Malawi. Camps are beautifully located to witness wonderful wildlife viewing and those in Zambia and Malawi in particular can easily be combined within the same trip. The offer
For children 16 years and younger, the youngest child stays for free (conservation fees payable). In addition, for stays combining their camps of seven nights or more receive an additional 10% off, increasing to 20% off accommodation fees for stays of 10 or more nights.
Nomad Tanzania – Tanzania

The Offer
Children under the age of 21 are offered a 30% discount on the nightly accommodation rate. In addition, when spending five nights or more with Nomad a long stay discount of between 10 and 20% is applied, camp dependent.
Chiawa Camp – Zambia
This stunning camp, beautifully located on the banks of the Zambezi River in the Lower Zambezi National Park, in Zambia, offers a luxurious safari in the heart of this renowned wildlife destination. The over-sized safari tents, approx 100 square metres, can easily have an extra bed, or bunk beds, added for children. The safari Suite is even more spacious at 220 square metres. It is tucked away from other guests and features a an expansive private deck, fire pit, eating area, private pool and outdoor lounge. The interior lounge is ideal for two additional beds at night, reverting to a lounge again during the day.
The offer
The second child, under the age of 18, stays free when sharing with their parents. In addition, when a stay at Chiawa is combined with a sister property (children 12 and over only), for a minimum of seven nights, two of those nights are free of charge (excluding conservation fees).
Kicheche Camps – Kenya
Located in prime wildlife viewing areas in Kenya, Kicheche’s stable of four camps are ideally situated to get the most out of the area. One camp is located on the Ol Pejeta Reserve in Laikipia, a reserve renowned for its wildlife viewing alongside the variety of activities on offer here. The remaining three Kicheche camps are all located on different private conservancies bordering the main Masai Mara Reserve. These conservancies are a vital part of the Greater Mara ecosystem, with wildlife moving freely between them as there are no fences. However, there are a strictly limited number of vehicles allowed on the conservancies, offering a more peaceful safari.
The offer
Valid throughout the year, you receive one night free of charge, conservation fees payable, when combining Kicheche Laikipia Camp with either Kicheche Mara or Kicheche Valley camp. All three properties have family suites featuring two separate en-suite bathrooms, central lounge and can accommodate up to two adults and three children. The family suites automatically come with a private vehicle and guide.
