Meru National Park

This little visited gem of a national park came to fame when George and Joy Adamson published their book ‘Born Free’ which details their story of releasing lions back into the wild.

Wildlife viewing is excellent in Meru, featuring elephant, lion, buffalo, rhino, a wide variety of antelope species, and abundant birdlife thriving across diverse habitats. Only a handful of safari camps lie inside its boundaries, so visitors exploring this charming park are likely to encounter few others while game viewing. Safari activities include vehicle based game drives, waking safaris, rhino sanctuary tours, fishing and cultural visits.
