Often overlooked when considering a safari in Zambia, Kafue is the largest national park in the country, and one of the biggest in Africa. The open grass plains and miombo woodland sustain a huge diversity of wildlife including more antelope species than anywhere else on the continent. Large prides of lion and cheetah feature on the predator front with plenty of bird life in the aerial department.
Because Kafue is relatively little visited, it’s a wonderful place for a truly remote safari and well worth a few days for those who make the effort to visit.
