Hwange is Zimbabwe’s largest national park. Beautiful, with fantastic wildlife viewing, it is renowned for its large elephant herds. Home to a rich variety of habitats, it’s an ideal place to combine five or six nights in a couple of different camps. Without a natural river or water source the wildlife concentrates around water holes, with particularly high densities during the dry season months between August to October.
The large numbers of plains wildlife attract plenty of predators and the bird life is superb here. Activities in Hwange include day and night game drives, walking safaris and visits to wildlife hides.
