Riding Safaris

There are opportunities to enjoy Africa’s wildlife from the back of a horse whether you are a beginner or an experienced rider. It’s a magical way to experience a safari as plains game is generally relaxed around the horses allowing some lovely viewing encounters. You can ride for a couple of hours from your lodge, or take a multi-day trip travelling from camp to camp.

Cantering alongside giraffe as you splash through the waters of the Okavango Delta, or riding through the the Masai Mara’s amazing wildlife, or seeing rhino at close quarters in South Africa, are among some of the most thrilling encounters you can have on safari.  

Riding safaris are possible in Kenya, Tanzania, South Africa, Botswana and Namibia, with options for small groups, mobile safaris and private trips.
