There is nothing more wonderful than seeing the excitement and wonder on a child’s face the first time they see an elephant, zebra, giraffe, lion, or any wild animal come to that.  Very often it is the smaller things that intrigue; the baboons playing, or the ant lions burying into the ground, which fascinate and capture the imagination.

Accommodation options have been well-designed and thought out, with two or three bedroom family rooms under one roof, or exclusive use properties for larger families and groups.  Guides are brilliant with children, endlessly entertaining and informative and ensure the activities are fun and interesting to all. These might be taking plaster casts of a lion’s paw print, learning how to make a bow and arrow with the Masai and Samburu, kayaking, beading lessons, camel riding, or perhaps just enjoying a swim in the pool or playing football with the guides.    

A combination of time on safari with time on the beach, at the Victoria Falls or perhaps in Cape Town, for some relaxation, is always a great combination.
