Etosha, in northern Namibia, is an unusual place with the huge Etosha salt pan a dominant feature of the landscape. There’s a good wildlife population here and viewing is relatively easy as much of the park is open and animals are drawn to waterholes, particularly during the dry season.
The extensive road network attracts plenty of visitors so the park can get busy in certain areas. The private concessions bordering the reserve allow wildlife viewing in a more secluded atmosphere and are a good option from which to come and go into the main park proper.
