Spread across 100,000 acres of privately owned lowveld, Malilangwe is an especially rewarding place to encounter Africa’s wildlife and aid in its conservation. Home to Africa’s Big 5 of elephant, lion, leopard, buffalo and rhino, many antelope species and varied bird life, it’s also rich in pre-colonial rock art, with more than a hundred known sites, dating back at least 2,000 years. While it’s not the easiest area to reach, the effort is rewarded with unspoilt wilderness with great wildlife viewing and scenery.
